Shotcrete sprayed concrete application on a retaining wall in Queensland

Sprayed Concrete Works

Shotcrete
Services

Structural sprayed concrete for complex applications. Certified nozzlemen, wet and dry mix capability for retaining structures, slope stabilisation and complex applications across South East Queensland.

What We Do

Structural Sprayed Concrete
Complex Applications

Our shotcrete crews deliver wet-mix and dry-mix sprayed concrete for retaining structures, slope stabilisation, tunnel linings and complex architectural forms. We work closely with geotechnical and structural engineers to meet design requirements and achieve consistent layer thickness and compressive strength.

Shotcrete is the preferred solution where conventional formwork is impractical — curved surfaces, irregular profiles, confined spaces and vertical or overhead applications. Our certified nozzlemen deliver consistent layer thickness and compressive strength on every application.

Integrated Delivery

Shotcrete as Part of
a Complete Package

Shotcrete is often required alongside excavation, reinforcement and drainage scopes. Omertà Construction Group can deliver shotcrete as a standalone scope or as part of a broader civil or structural package that includes bulk and detailed excavation, steel fixing and concrete pumping.

Coordinating shotcrete with connected scopes under one contractor simplifies programme management and ensures the geotechnical and structural requirements are met consistently across the full scope of works.

Common Questions

Shotcrete FAQ

What is shotcrete?

Shotcrete (also known as sprayed concrete) is concrete or mortar conveyed through a hose and pneumatically projected at high velocity onto a surface. It is used for retaining structures, slope stabilisation, tunnel linings, structural repair and complex architectural forms where conventional formwork is impractical.

What is the difference between wet-mix and dry-mix shotcrete?

In wet-mix shotcrete, all ingredients including water are pre-mixed before being pumped through the hose and projected. In dry-mix shotcrete, dry materials are conveyed through the hose and water is added at the nozzle. Omertà Construction Group can deliver both methods depending on the application and project requirements.

Are Omertà's shotcrete nozzlemen certified?

Yes. Omertà Construction Group's shotcrete nozzlemen hold current certifications and work to recognised quality control standards, ensuring consistent layer thickness, compressive strength and bond to the substrate on every application.

What types of projects does Omertà deliver shotcrete for?

Omertà Construction Group delivers shotcrete for retaining walls, batter stabilisation, slope protection, tunnel and culvert linings, pool and water feature shells, structural repair and rehabilitation, and complex architectural concrete forms across South East Queensland and regional Queensland.
